Grec Festival 2019 in Barcelona
  1. In the theater category, this edition includes Jerusalem, a work that refuses to be ignored. Celebrated both in the West End and on Broadway, it draws a portrait of old England with an exceptional protagonist in a piece that considers the purpose of utopias. But that isn’t the only master work on display: Tan poca vida and Las Feres de Shakespeare are also not to be missed.
  2. For dance, his edition offers a magnificent opportunity to vibe along with the work of the Sydney Dance Company. Ab [intra] invites you on a journey through human existence against minimalist scenery and a cello melding with energetic electronic atmosphere.
  3. In the music category, bands like The Matthew Herbert Brexit Big Band will give you chills. But they’re not the only ones: Toquinho, Sílvia Pérez Cruz y Javier Colina, and Niño de Elche are other standouts.
  4. When it comes to film, the Grec Festival will put on screenings including Goodfellas, from Martin Scorsese, and Green Book, which won the 2019 Oscar for Best Picture.
  5. New for this year’s festival, there will be an area known as #GrecJove, a space specially geared to younger audiences. There will be shows directed at teens and young people from 13 to 20, as well as workshops, talks, and other activities.
